Catching Fish

You can obtain custom fish in three ways:

Fishing

Use a fishing rod to catch fish normally.

Hunting

Some fish can be obtained by killing naturally spawning fish mobs.

Both

Some fish can be caught using either method.

Not all fish are obtainable in every way.

Fish Rarities

Fish come in different rarities. Rarer fish are harder to catch and usually more valuable.

Rarities affect:

• Catch chances

• Competition outcomes

• Journal progress

• Rewards

Fish Journal

Track every fish you catch using the Fish Journal.

Open the journal

You can:

• View fish by rarity

• See which fish you have caught

• Track completion progress

Baits

Baits can be applied to fishing rods to improve your chances of catching specific fish or rarities.

Each rod has limited bait slots, so choose carefully.

Some baits:

• Increase rarity chances

• Increase fish size

• Improve competition performance

Selling Fish

Fish can be sold for currency.

Open the fish shop

Sell everything in your inventory

Fishing Competitions

Fishing competitions run automatically and reward the best anglers. There is a public leaderboard at spawn.

Competition Types You May See

• Largest Fish Biggest single fish wins.

• Most Fish Most fish caught wins.

• Specific Fish Catch a specific fish to win.

• Specific Rarity Catch a fish of a specific rarity.

• Largest Total Total size of all fish caught determines the winner.

• Shortest Fish Smallest fish wins.

• Shortest Total Lowest total size wins.

Competitions end when the timer runs out, even if no one wins.

💡 Tips

• Baits matter more during competitions

• Some competitions favor quantity, others size

• Rare fish may only appear in certain biomes or conditions

• Completing your journal is a long-term goal
